Karis Rodila
LPC, LMFT, Clinical Director
I desire to create a space where you can feel safe and where your story can be heard and honored. I understand the privilege of traveling with you on your healing journey, and I strive to offer the skills to guide you well.
I specialize in treating trauma and assisting clients in moving from survival to actively engage in their lives. I also enjoy working with individuals who feel powerless and voiceless in their lives and relationships, providing skills and insights to grow their confidence and sense of control over their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. One of my specializations is providing guidance around sexual issues and love, helping individuals and couples move towards deeper intimacy. For engaged couples, I believe in helping them create a strong foundation from which they can launch their marriage. I desire to assist couples in distress to heal and grow in intimacy together. I also enjoy working with families and individuals, helping them find greater meaning and purpose in their lives. At Waystone, I collaborate with other therapists to support the whole family system in family therapy.
I am trauma-informed and trained in Brainspotting, a mind-body approach for processing deep emotions and trauma, as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based treatment for the healing of trauma. I graduated from Richmont Graduate University in May of 2020 with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a certification in Christian Sex Therapy. I am a credentialed therapist through NBCC (the National Board for Certified Counselors). For individual therapy, I work with adolescents and adults ages 16+. For family therapy, I work with adolescents and adults ages 14+. I am available to see clients in person and virtually.
